The Erawan Museum

It's really spectacular from the outside. It's pretty new. The museum was built with tens of millions of yuan by Lek Viriyapant, a wealthy Thai businessman, to preserve traditional art and highlight world peace. This museum is a new tourist attraction in downtown Bangkok in the recent past, and the experience after visiting can only be described as "shocking" two words.

The three heads are like the image god in Thai folk stories. Through the elevator between the legs of the elephant, you can go to the museum in the belly of the elephant to explore the mystery of Thai image God culture. There is a bronze elephant in the museum, it is said that as long as you make a wish in front of the God, the girl with the index finger of the non-dominant hand, the boy is the ring finger, can raise the elephant, it means that your wish will be realized.

Take off your shoes at the door. There's a closet. No drinks or food. Signs say dress appropriately. No sleeveless & shorts. God elephant inside the universe, you can take the elevator to see, there is no writing can not take pictures, but the security is not reasonable

MOCA, Museum of Contemporary Art, Bangkok

The architecturally beautiful MOCA Bangkok Museum of Contemporary Art is also suitable for those who love architecture and art. Let me first say that some of the themes of the works are relatively heavy, such as religion, life and death philosophy. There are also works with fruit, and some styles of magic may be difficult to accept.

The advantage is that the architectural space and layout are well designed, the air conditioning is sufficient, the people are less quiet, and the shopping is very comfortable. It's so beautiful for photos. If you are with children, you can try to choose simple and bright works to watch, and you can easily kill a half day.

The gallery won the 2014 Architecture Award. On the facade, the prismatic lattice window with jasmine flower stems as the literature and science is commensurate with the installation of the outdoor lotus pool, which is very artistic.

On the wall of the entrance is a phrase written in Latin by Silpa, the founder of the gallery, Ars longa vita brevis, or Art is long, life is short. Life is short, art is eternal.

The five-story museum was built by Mr.Boonchai Bencharongkul, a Thai telecommunications tycoon, for about 600 million baht. Most of the works are also from his private collection of more than 30 years to preserve Thai contemporary art and culture. There are fixed exhibition period and normal exhibition area, each floor is a different exhibition theme.

More impressed:
On the first floor there is a derivative of the surrounding art. There is also the Banksy Graffiti artist, full of satire on current global phenomena, and Banksy's work is on a separate floor. The combined ticket price is 520 baht. On the second floor, there are a large number of exquisite Ramayana masks, pullovers used in Thai Kong opera, and shadow puppets from all over Southeast Asia. The fourth floor is dedicated to Thawan Duchanee, a Thai national treasure artist with a strong style reminiscent of Chinese painting and calligraphy. The fifth floor is the international artist, the impressive Italian female painter Arianna Caroli painted flowers, high color saturation, bright, dazzling. There's also a special section, which starts with walking through a tunnel and seeing three giant paintings. It is said that through the cosmic tunnel, to heaven, earth and hell, three works by three different artists completed, very shocking.

Another feature is a sitting wooden chair. It is both a functional chair and a work of art, each different and created by a Thai artist.

A coffee and souvenir shop is located on the ground floor. Coffee with light snacks and drinks, outdoor seating is recommended, the space atmosphere view and rest time is well worth the ticket price.
