The Church of Asang was built between 1733 and 1746 by brother Cosmas Damian Egid Quirin Asam. The two-storey building measures 22 x 8 metres and blends in with the townhouses on Sendlinger Straße.

The interior of the church is divided into three levels, and the area where visitors are located is relatively dark, symbolizing worldly suffering. The higher you are, the closer you are to the sky, and the brighter the church becomes.

The top floor is lit up to the sky, symbolizing devotion to God and eternity. The church was designed as a penitent church, so there are several confessional rooms inside. The entrance to the Church of Asang is located on the Sendlinger pedestrian street in central Munich, very close to Marienplatz. The building has a rococo design with huge Windows and wooden doors.

If using public transport, you can get off at Maria Square station and walk about 500 meters to reach the church, which takes about 6 minutes.

St. Michael's Church

St. Michael St. Gudele Cathedral, where Lambert II founded the chapter in 1047 and organized the transfer of the relics of St. Gudele, The latter was once housed in the Saint Gaugericus Church on Saint Gaugericus Island. The patron saints of the church, the Patriarch Michael and the martyr Saint Guduel, are also patron saints of Brussels.

In the 13th century, the cathedral was renovated in Gothic style. The building was built between 1226 and 1276. The facade was completed in the mid-15th century. 1516 Charles II, Duke of Brabant, became King of Spain at St. Michael St. Gudele Cathedral in Brussels.
