Went to Quebec to know what is the real golden autumn

Quebec becomes especially charming in the fall. When the maple leaves dyed the earth red, it seemed to become a dreamlike fairy tale world. Next, I would like to recommend a few good places to enjoy the maple in Quebec

Maple Leaf Road:
Beautiful like a picture in a postcard, it is really a romantic place where the scenery is more than the people. No matter from which point of view, whether it is the countryside, villages or urban areas, are full of red maple eyes, is the whole heart is filled with warmth and bright! In my opinion, the most brilliant season in Canada.

Dress suggestions:
Autumn in Quebec (it was early October when we visited) is still quite cold, and it is not too much to bring a light down jacket
Urban areas will climb up and down, it is recommended to wear soft soles to walk shoes
Eating suggestions:

If you want to check in at restaurants like Taniere ³ or Bistro Le Sam, make a reservation on the website /opentable/google
Travel advice:
If you want to punch the surrounding town, it is recommended to rent a car, convenient wow! To have the opportunity to have a date with Quebec in autumn is also a blessing in life

Morris National Park
This national park is actually not very far from Montreal, which is suitable for people who live in the surrounding area to drive over.
If we leave at 8:00 in the morning, we can be there by about 10:00. There are many hiking routes in the park. If you want to climb all the hiking routes, you need to stay for a long time. The surrounding accommodations are basically Airbnbs or motels. The nearest Marriott chain hotel in Sanhe is about half an hour's drive away, so you can stay there for a day and climb two or three interesting routes. Or just drive and climb a route back and forth every weekend.

The most fun Trail is probably Chutes Waber Falls. This line has no Wi-Fi and no signal, and the trail that is really close to nature and wants to land on the waterfall can only be done by water, so you must first drive to the boat rental point and rent a boat (about 50 dollars a day) to row about 4.5-5km of water. Part of the waterway is relatively calm, but the middle section of the channel is very narrow and easy to be scratched by branches. + When you go up the stream, you may need someone to help push the boat. It is very tiring, and those who cannot swim should be careful. If all goes well, paddle to shore in about an hour and start the 9km trail. The land part of the whole route is quite easy + The route has a good mountain view and close contact with the waterfall opportunity, the land needs to climb 4-5 hours. But the most disappointing thing is that someone actually stole the boat 🫨, after climbing back to find their own boat is gone, can only pick a random boat from the side to the parking lot. Overall, allow 5-6 hours for this route.

Another route to climb is mekinac. The starting point is not far from the entrance to the park, all the way along the river in the east of the park, the scenery is also very beautiful, there will be several iconic red chairs.

Be careful not to climb the mountain on a rainy day under any circumstances, the first day of mekinac is rainy, and most of the trail in the park is dirt. There will be virtually no paved roads. When it rains, it turns to mud, and the gravel roads become slippery, and there are often rivers that wash them down. Be sure to choose a sunny day into the mountain + Take foot repellent mosquitoes in the mountains are very fierce.

Maple hut
"Cabane a Sucre La Goudrelle" is located in Mont-Saint-Gregoire, south of Montreal, about 40 km from the centre of Montreal, and has a buffet and traditional restaurant, as well as a maple-making workshop. The variety of dishes is still relatively rich, there are meatballs, ham, sausage, etc., there are also a variety of maple sugar desserts; Maple taffy is made in a maple workshop, where liquid maple is poured over ice and then rolled up with a wooden stick
Address: 136 Chem. du Sous-Bois, Mont-Saint-Gregoire, QC J0J 1K0
