The Leeds Library, Britain's oldest surviving library, founded in 1768, is located on Calverley Street in the city centre and can be visited between 1pm and 3pm Monday to Friday and between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday.
The first time I walked into the center of the city, the library was just across from Scribbler. The small door was not so impressive, but the inside was still very impressive. I really think this library is very beautiful, very atmosphere, very quiet, basically old people reading books and newspapers. Compared with the school library, it seems to have more quiet time and calm mind. There is a puzzle on a big table, writing that I hope the people who come here to help put together, if there is time, I really want to sit here to finish the puzzle. I didn't think there were many interesting places in Leeds, but I slowly found that there were many places worth exploring. It is said that the soul of England is in small country towns, and part of the soul of a city is in small places like this

Thornton's Arcade, one of Leeds' first arcades, the cast iron arches of this arcade feature decorative red-winged lions. Another arcade includes an unusual animated clock, this one featuring characters from Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe, Robin Hood and Friar Tuck showing off their legs.

The thousand-year-old cathedral hidden in the town

Who would have thought a 1,300-year-old church would be hidden in a small town near Leeds? Ripon Cathedral The oldest cathedral in England, the Diocese of Leeds was founded in 2014. This brought the diocese of Ripon and Leeds together with the Diocese of Bradford. Ripon is one of three cathedrals in the New Parish, along with Wakefield and Bradford.

The basement of Ripon Cathedral is the oldest part of all the cathedrals in England. This small church, hidden underground, was a key feature of the first church built here by St. Wilfrid in 672.

The exquisite wooden carvings in Quill are one of the cathedral's hidden treasures. Their most famous claim to fame is that the carvings on choir seats (known as misericords) inspired some of the characters in Alice in Wonderland.

The glass painting depicts the story of the First World War, the Bible content and other beautiful pictures!
